Weight Training Guide

Hi everyone,

I’ve set up this website for all weight training addicts and aspirants who are looking for a weight training guide. Inside this site, you’ll find numerous tips, ‘how to’ exercises, different weight training programs, advice on weight training nutrition and importance of rest and recovery.

My name is Max Poundstone and I have been training with weights for quite some time now. During this time, I have seen myself growing from a skinny hardgainer to having an envious body with serious muscle mass. As your weight training guide, I have and will continue to post useful information, so that you can get the best out of your weight training programs. I hope to help you achieve your objectives from weight training be it having incredible strength, commanding ‘respect’ from your friends and peers, being in peak physical and mental condition or for just impressing your girl!

The quest for strength has been a basic objective of man since ages. Be it hunting for food or protecting himself from enemies, man has always aimed to be physically stronger than others around him. Of course, now one can talk about technological advancements and how we don’t really need to have strength for surviving, but the fact remains that the desire for strength and having a bigger and a better body than anyone around you will always remain. While weight training has numerous health benefits such as slowing the ageing process, lowering the risks of chronic health conditions and imparting a sense of discipline, for me the biggest benefit is the self assurance of having the strength to protect myself and my family from any untoward incident, as much as possible. And of course, the incredible high I get from lifting a mind numbing weight!

Here’s a great muscle building guide which has helped thousands of hardgainers pack on muscle mass and get the bodies of their dreams:

No-Nonsense Muscle Building Program

It’s a fantastic program written by a renowned fitness trainer and model Vince Del Monte and contains step by step workout programs, nutritional meal plans, exercise videos and lots of cool bonuses.

For those new to it, let me begin with what weight training is. As opposed to general fitness programs, weight training is a hardcore form of workout where we mainly use free weights such as dumbbells and barbells or simply bodyweight to target specific muscle groups. The main objective of weight training is to develop strength and size of muscle mass in the whole body. This increase in strength and size is caused by using a combination of reps, sets, type of exercises and weights. Apart from dumbbells and barbells, weight training equipment also includes kettlebells, pulleys and weight stacks. While there is no one way or best way to train with weights, there are some basic exercises which everyone training with weights should do. But weight training doesn’t just stop at the gym. A good weight training program encompasses a good nutrition and proper recovery along with lifting weights. As your weight training guide, I advise you to take care of all the three elements to get you the desired results.

Feel free to look around the site, absorb all the information and put it to good use. Sooner than later, you will notice heads turning around with envy and admiration whenever you step into the gym!
